In our first class, we opened with Shakti speaking in her own voice – the divine feminine describing herself as the light that reveals the way. This week, the question shifts a little: what does that same energy feel like when it moves between people, rather than within just one? That’s the theme of Week 2.
A Verse About Vibration
Each week in this series, I share a verse live from The Radiance Sutras – read aloud rather than printed, since the poetry is written to be spoken. This week’s verse meditates on something simple and a little startling: the same vibration you hear in an ocean shell, or in your own breath, is the vibration that moves everything else too, right up to the planets themselves.
Making Connection Tangible, Not Just Talked About
We’re adding something new to the format this week: a short journaling practice before the flow, rather than only at the end. A few quiet minutes with a pen, reflecting on a recent moment of real connection – what it actually felt like in the body, not just the memory of it.
From there, rather than simply discussing connection as an idea, the class moves into a short breath practice using humming – a technique that lets you physically feel vibration in your own skull and face before we try to feel it as a group. Once that’s landed individually, we come together for one shared, hummed breath – the room’s vibration, felt and heard at once.
Join Us
This class is part of an 8-week, women-only autumn yoga journey exploring the divine feminine through The Radiance Sutras, autumn as the backdrop rather than the whole story. If Week 1 wasn’t the right fit for your schedule, it’s not too late to join for Week 2 onward – just book on and show up.
What to bring: your mat as usual, plus a pen and paper or a notebook for the journaling practice.
Take care of yourselves, Sian
