Over the next 8 weeks, we’ll be delving into The Radiance Sutras – a modern telling of a text that’s over a thousand years old, structured as a conversation between two forces: Shiva, pure awareness, representing masculine energy, and Shakti, the creator and life force, representing divine feminine energy.
After a long, hot summer, it felt like the right moment to ground back into ourselves – into our essence and go a little deeper into what that actually means.
In each class, I’ll be sharing a verse from the book for us to explore together. And starting next week, we’ll add a short journaling practice too – so if you could bring a pen and some paper, or a notebook if you have one, that would be lovely.
Each week has its own theme, and together they trace the actual emotional shape of the season:
🕯️Shakti Speaks – her voice, her creative power, spoken directly in the text we’ll open with.
🕯️Shakti Gathers — the connective energy that moves between people, not just within one body.
🕯️Shakti in Balance – her living relationship with stillness, never one-sided.
🕯️Shakti Surrenders – release as strength, not defeat.
🕯️Shakti in Stillness – her quieter, receptive, deeply inward face.
🕯️Shakti Rooted – power expressed through groundedness and embodiment.
🕯️Shakti’s Fire – transformative heat, generated from within.
🕯️Shakti Radiant – everything we’ve met, arriving whole.
I’ll be drawing on a book that’s meant a lot to me for years – The Radiance Sutras by Lorin Roche, a beautiful, poetic rendering of an ancient text structured as a conversation between stillness and energy. I’ll be reading from it live each week rather than handing out printouts – it’s the kind of writing that wants to be spoken aloud, not skimmed.
The details:
- 8 weeks, running from 10th September
- Thursday evenings, 7-8pm
- Parkfields, Mold
If any of this is speaking to you – if you’ve felt that autumn pull toward slowing down, letting go, or just wanting to be in a room with other women moving through a season together – I’d love to have you.
